The classes are already filling up well, and every day we see new kung fu enthusiasts from Amsterdam signing up as members or for a free trial lesson. In this blog, we tell you more about the lessons we offer to children and the new flyer we have developed for this purpose. Are you or do you know our newest member of the Monkeys, Cranes, or Tigers? Then read on quickly!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>The First Month of KEI Kung Fu<\/h2>\n<p>We have received a lot of positive feedback about the spacious and bright setup of the academy. Especially, we get a lot of positive feedback about the way our sifu\u2019s Lai-Wing Hau and Sihing Wesdy Mansouri convey traditional Wing Chun in a fresh and contemporary way. In short, we are confirmed that we are on the right track at KEI and of course, we want to thank everyone for their trust and enthusiasm in the early days of KEI Kung Fu.<\/p>\n<p>But we are not there yet; children are the future, and we still have plenty of space for children aged 4 to 11 years. Does your son or daughter want to learn Kung Fu in a fun, safe, but also challenging way in the center of Amsterdam? That is possible; exercising and having fun with peers can be done with us, and since we have just opened, we do not have waiting lists yet!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-212\" src=\"https:\/\/keikungfu.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_2661resize-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Kung Fu lessons for children at KEI Kung Fu\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Kung Fu Lessons for Children at KEI Kung Fu<\/h2>\n<p>At KEI, we know that children of different ages are not comparable because they develop different skills at different ages. Our lessons are specially designed to support this development in our 3 different age groups. Our Monkeys, Cranes, and Tigers become healthy, fit, and strong. They learn to stand up for themselves and how to solve problems. By working from one belt level to another, they are rewarded for goal-oriented work.<\/p>\n<p>Children develop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agility<\/li>\n<li>Self-confidence<\/li>\n<li>Concentration<\/li>\n<li>Coordination<\/li>\n<li>Courage<\/li>\n<li>Perseverance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each program is fully tailored to the age of the children. This way, the children enjoy Kung Fu the most and are optimally supported in their development.<\/p>\n<h2>Kung Fu for Children: Monkeys, Cranes, and Tigers<\/h2>\n<p>For the Monkeys (4 to 5 years), Kung Fu is mainly focused on discovering in a more playful way, and children unconsciously build more concentration and social skills. As the children get older, playful learning gradually decreases, and already with the Kung Fu Cranes (6 to 8 years), more attention is paid to aspects of Wing Chun and building more coordination, self-confidence, and agility. For the last group under 12 years, the Kung Fu Tigers, besides all the above, technique and tradition become increasingly central. Of course, we also have lesson programs for children from 12 years old; they fall under the juniors and work just like the adults on more skills and corresponding belt levels.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think your child would like to join a trial lesson?
