Two Trial Lessons for Beginners

We offer two trial lessons so newcomers can experience our training properly before committing. This approach allows you to get comfortable with the academy, the instructors, students and the training style.

The First Trial Lesson

Your first martial arts class begins with a short introduction where one of our instructors takes time to get to know you, understand your motivation for starting Kung Fu, and answer any questions you may have. You’ll then be shown the training space before the actual training begins. Your first training starts with the basics. One of our experienced instructors will introduce fundamental movements, structure, and core principles of our Kung Fu system. Depending on the class this may include Wing Chun, Qigong, or Taiji. No prior martial arts experience is required!

The Second Trial Lesson

Your first class is designed for beginners, so need to worry about having to know everything immediately. The pace of the training is adjusted to suit new students. You will notice very quickly that the training at KEI Kung Fu focuses on improving strength, coordination, endurance, focus and wellbeing over time. Fitness levels do vary and that’s completely fine. We make it habit to remind our students that progress comes through consistency.

Class Structure & Conditioning

Classes at KEI Kung Fu follow a clear structure:

  1. Warm-up
  2. Technical training and fundamentals
  3. Partner drills
  4. Conditioning to finish the class

We always end training together to reinforce both physical development and community.

Trial Lesson Two: Join the Full Class

If you enjoy your first experience, you may come back for a second trial lesson. This time, you’ll join a regular group from start to finish experiencing the full rhythm of a KEI Kung Fu class. By the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of our training style and whether this martial arts path is right for you.
