What does this confidential advisor do?
After experiencing unwanted behavior, the confidential advisor primarily serves as a sounding board, where complaints and/or problems can be discussed independently and confidentially. After a report to the confidential advisor, an initial meeting takes place and, based on this, an action plan is drawn up together with the confidential advisor. The approach may include advice, guidance, mediation, or referral to other professional support.
What are unwanted behaviors?
– Aggression and violence
– Discrimination
– Bullying and/or harassment
– Gossiping and/or ignoring
– Verbal or physical intimidation
– Sexual harassment
Especially in ‘mild’ cases, it is advisable to first contact the person exhibiting the unwanted behavior and try to discuss it. If the complaints are more serious or addressing the issue does not help, contact can be made with the confidential advisor.
